Due to the fluorine ban at FIS and IBU competitions, many athletes and service personnel are asking themselves the question “How do I clean my old skis”?
We have tried this out a lot over the past few months and worked with the flight tester and now have a variant that works well for us most of the time.
- Apply fluorine cleaner to a cloth and clean the coating.
- Remove fluorine residues with the fine steel brush.
- After brushing, wipe off the coating with a cloth and leave to dry for at least two minutes. Allow to flash off for 5 minutes.
- Brush out the coating with a metal brush.
- Iron on fluorine-free training wax.
- Peel off when warm to the touch.
- Subsequently. brush out with the metal brush.
To improve cleaning even more, you can also wax the ski several times without fluorine.
Here you will find the most important tools:
-
Fluorine cleaner€20,00 – €60,00
