Hot waxing is the most effective way to extend the life of your bike chain and maximize its performance. Our high-quality chain wax provides long-lasting lubrication that protects against dirt and moisture. Thanks to the special wax coating, your chain stays clean and always runs efficiently.

Instructions for hot waxing your bike chain
Clean the chain: Use a chain cleaner and degreaser to remove old lubricants and dirt without leaving any residue. A clean chain is essential for an effective wax treatment.
Prepare the wax bath: Heat our HWK CHAIN COATING HOTWAX in the wax pot to 80-90°C (level 1-2). This makes the wax perfectly liquid and allows it to penetrate deep into the chain.
Immerse the chain: Thread the chain onto the metal loop provided and dip it into the melted wax. Leave the chain in the wax bath for 10-15 minutes so that every crack is evenly wetted.
Allow excess wax to drip off: Take the chain out of the wax bath and hang it over the pot so that excess wax can drain off. Then gently wipe off the remaining excess wax with a cloth to leave an even protective layer.
Fit and test the chain: Put the chain back on your bike and test it. Thanks to hot waxing, your chain now runs more quietly and smoothly and remains protected for longer.
