HWK Wax Tips – Slalom and Giant Slalom Alpine

Ski waxing is actually quite simple – for the junior range up to the ambitious racer, one gets by in the alpine range, after the basic preparation, with the following 5 waxes from HWK:

• COLD (dry snow): LFW3
• MEDIUM (wet snow): LFW2 + HIGHSPEED LIQUO MIDDLE
• WARM (wet snow): ALPIN Racing Pro WARM + HIGHSPEED LIQUO WARM

But how are these liquid waxes actually applied correctly and what do you need?

1. Before starting to apply the above-mentioned waxes, it is necessary to make a basic preparation. How this works, you can read in this article: BASIC PREPARATION ALPINE
   
2. Before application, the liquid wax must be shaken well and then distributed evenly over the entire surface of the ski. If a liquid wax with a spray attachment is used, simply spray it on evenly and distribute it.
   
   
3. Once the wax is distributed on the ski base, it is worked in with a hand cork.
   
   
4. Finally, brush out the coating blue with the soft nylon brush.
