Review of the Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof

The last two weeks we, the HWK team were at the Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof to support all participating nations with our top racing waxes. After our daily wax tests we informed all teams with our results, so that HWK from Ebbs in Tyrol also made the difference for one or the other medal. The atmosphere in the witch’s cauldron of Oberhof was already unbelievably good as at the World Cups, the races super exciting and in the evening at the medal ceremony there was a lot to celebrate especially for the Scandinavian teams.

With the changing conditions, we were able to test almost our entire product range. In the first week, the Highspeed Powder Middle was still mainly used, because the conditions were also still very wintry. In the second half of the World Cup, it got wetter and wetter and the temperatures moved into the plus range. There we were able to achieve super results with the VP 712-W Powder and the Liquo Warm.
