Snow-covered mountains, fresh air and ideally a perfectly groomed cross-country ski trail with a perfect panorama and beautiful weather. These are some of the things that make cross-country skiing a special kind of sport.
Cross-country skiing is relatively quick to learn – which means that even beginners can easily swing into the trail and explore the winter landscape on skis. By the way, cross-country skiing works more than 600 muscles, and your heart and circulation will definitely benefit from a round on the trail.
In Tyrol there are many popular cross-country skiing areas and that’s exactly why we don’t want to deprive you of some of them.
Paznaun – Ischgl
Whether beginner or advanced, everyone is guaranteed to find the right trail on the 75 km network of trails in Galtür and Ischgl. The region also offers a high snow reliability due to the altitude. This means that you are in perfect hands as a cross-country skier here from December until spring.
Olympiaregion Seefeld
It is not for nothing that Seefeld is the venue for international Nordic disciplines. The region offers an extensive network of cross-country ski trails of varying degrees of difficulty with a total length of more than 245 kilometers and, on top of that, the certainty of snow there speaks for itself.
Kitzbühel Alps
Around St. Johann in Tirol, in Pillerseetal or in the Hohe Salve vacation region, you will find more than 700 km of perfectly groomed trails for every style of cross-country skiing and every level. Those who still like to throw on their cross-country skis in the evening are in good hands on the illuminated village trails in Waidring and in Hochfilzen.
For the extra ambitious, we of course have the right wax for every weather condition and snow type, so you’re guaranteed to get a head start on the trail.
