If the surface is not adequately protected over the summer, it will lose sliding ability and longevity over time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>That&#8217;s exactly why you should still show some love for your cross-country skis in the summer and take proper care of them before putting them into storage. How this works, we explain step by step.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brush out dirt coarsely with metal brush<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean the base with base cleaner and allow to dry for 10 min.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brush out with metal brush until the coating is rich black<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Iron on an opaque layer of wax as protection (e.g. RACING WAX)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alternatively, if there is no iron, rub a soft wax on the coating<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if possible store upright in a cool, dry place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s actually quite simple, isn&#8217;t it?
